My Top 5 Favorite Photo Apps

With the growth of social media photo sharing online + the visual aspect that drives people to be aware of your brand, products and even blog, I thought I would share with you today some of my favorite photo sharing apps. Some of these apps do have a social media aspect involved, while others I use to photograph and edit those images before dropping them into photo sharing sites. If you haven’t heard of some of these apps, I highly suggest downloading them and using them.

VSCO CAM

VCSCO Cam is a great app for taking pictures. Not only does it allow you to capture your image, but it also has some great photo editing tools you can use within the app. It’s only 99 cents to download and use + I love some of the great editing features this app has to offer. This app also allows you to share your picture easily via social media, which is a major plus in my book.

TimerCam

TimerCam is an app I recently discovered over at Ascot Friday’s blog. Someone asked her one day how she takes pictures of her whole family together on outings + she shared this brilliant app. Here’s why I love it so much. You know when you’re with a group of friends and you’re all trying to squeeze in a picture together? Or when you’re trying to take that cute selfie of your cute outfit? Yup, that’s where this brilliant app comes in. It gives you a 5 second countdown to get situated and then it takes the picture for you. From there all you need to do is hit save. Quick + easy and the best part is that it’s free!

Afterglow

Next up is one of my most favorite go to photo editing apps right now, Afterglow!! I love it so much I usually take my picture in VscoCam, save it, upload it to Afterglow, edit it and then share it to Instagram. It may sound like some work, but it’s worth it! This app allows you to edit, crop, frame and add a filter! Don’t believe me? Go download it and I promise you’ll be tweeting me a thank you. Price: FREE

Lightt

Lightt is an app that I heard about back in October when it was in it’s infancy faze. I was instantly attracted to the idea of being able to take a series of 10 pictures and have them join together to create a short video of pictures, similar to a .gif. Once you’ve created your photo series, you can easily share it to Twitter + Facebook. Lightt also serves as a social media sharing sight, much like Instagram, where you can follow people and leave comments on their photos. Cost: FREE

Instagram

I’m sure many of you are already aware of how awesome Instagram is, but if you haven’t this is one app you should definitely have on your phone. While it is a social sharing site, you can opt to keep your profile private and only opt to allow people to follow you with your permission. I personally love Instagram + feel it has allowed me to connect with so many amazing people, some of whom I’ve met in real life. I love how easy it is to upload pictures and the filter options really bring your pictures to life. If you’re like me, an “aspiring mommy photographer” this app is for you. Cost: FREE

I’d love to hear from you. Are there any photo apps you can’t live without? I’m obsessed, so I must know what they are.

  1. FYI – Afterglow isn’t free. It’s $.99 :)

  2. I do accept as true with all the concepts you have offered on your post. They’re really convincing and can definitely work. Still, the posts are very short for starters. May you please extend them a little from subsequent time? Thanks for the post.
