Welcome followers! We are SAMUEL + SWANSON! We are both from Northern California (the Bay Area), both migrated down south to San Diego (the Encinitas area). We have been a part of the makeup industry as artists for the past 10+ years! Sam (SAMUEL) and Madison (SWANSON) make up the epic duo, we met while working together in Carlsbad and instantly formed a friendship that we knew was going to last longer than the days we would spend in the industry. At the time, we were working together, Madison was my boss and challenged me in a way that would make me grow as a better human but had a “Ron Swanson” approach to it. (I was always April). I started calling her Ron and when the time came for us to choose a name for our amazing business, SAMUEL + SWANSON just rolled off our tongues.. kinda like the bourbon we consumed when we came up with our plan..
We wanted to create a line that was simple, not cluttered and had some sweet relevant lines that we could get away with having any kid wear. The JUST JUICE tee was our first item we launched and since then it really set the tone for the ridiculous amount of millennial-mom related content we would have our own crew represent for their embarrassing parents. We are the definition of “small shop” and have only released a handful of tees for you guys to enjoy until we organically grow as a company to release more (cue the “started from the bottom” lyrics) We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoy making our dreams come true of being a staple to every cool kid closet!
