MEET POSITIVELY OAKES
Hey y’all! My name is Jess Oakes, the gal behind Positively Oakes. Positively Oakes is a shop full of screen printed tees + accessories for you and your little’s and a blog showing behind the scenes peeks and chatting about the daily life of being a Mom.
Positively Oakes started as just me and a little Etsy shop and has grown to it’s very own website and three of us now! We will have been opened a year in January and it’s been such a fun year so far, I can’t wait to see what the future holds! I opened Positively Oakes on a whim, to show my creativity and do something I love. I started sewing when I was a little girl, my Grandma taught me. It was that special thing we could do together, just the two of us. After she passed away when I was a teenager, it grew to be something special I did with my Mom. Therefore, I would say Positively Oakes was on a whim, but truly it represents something extremely close to my heart.
Our goal as a company is to create something you love, something that it comfortable for your littles, and something special. Our best compliment is when a Mom tells us their baby doesn’t even notice our headbands on their head, they’re that SOFT! Another goal of Positively Oakes is, giving back and making a difference. Each month we hold a giveback day or a giveback charity auction. Our giveback day consists of giving back from our sales that day to a charity or person in need, and our auctions are very similar, we just team up with other wonderful shops and each donate an item(s) to be bid on to raise money for similar causes. I have made this a tradition each month because since this is something so close to my heart, I feel it’s only right to make a difference in the communities we live in.
What’s my favorite piece from our current fall line? That would HAVE to be our “Goldenrod Braid” headband, it’s the perfect mix of boho and simple.
What’s our overall number one seller? Our “Pink Pop” top knot is definitely our number one seller, and a crowd favorite. It was one of our very first headbands, and it continues to fly off the shelf!
