Meet Abby Maddy Designs
Created in 2010, Abby Maddy is the result of a military wife’s passion for business, love of handmade and desire for a fulfilling, portable career. Each item in the shop is handcrafted with gorgeous designer fabrics, Kona cotton linings and our own signature labels. From our Crossbody Tote, to our Keyfobs, each item is stylish and functional.
While many people know Abby Maddy for our practical and fashionable designs, what most people don’t know is that I am 100% self -taught! In fact, I consider it one of my greatest assets. While I have a formal education in a more traditional field, the creative arts have always been my true love. Everything I have learned, I have had to seek out on my own. From those early days of watching videos to thread my machine to hours spent in front of my cutting table teaching myself how to design patterns and install zippers. I always wished that I had been given a Sewing 101 class when I began, to help with all the things I stumbled on in the beginning. Now, I’m doing it for others- teaching beginner’s sewing classes and workshops and encouraging other women to pursue their love of handmade for a hobby or even a business! I firmly believe that what you put out into the world comes back to you tenfold and I am passionate about helping other women achieve success!
Each year has brought new opportunities and growth for our unique brand, and in 2013 we began focusing completely on our ladies line, and working to place Abby Maddy in independently owned boutiques. I absolutely love working with our Stockist and I can’t wait to have Abby Maddy carried in shops all across the country!
