Hey sweet cupcakes! My name is Stacie Robinson and I am the owner of Chrome Classic.
Our name means everything to us! I know that it doesn’t sound like a children’s clothing company; it wasn’t supposed to. It’s much more than that. It is named after my son, Madden. When he was born he was in critical condition. For the first 3 weeks of his life he was hooked up to machines to keep him alive. There were several times that the doctor’s prepared us to let him go. Thankfully each time Madden fought through and beat the odds. We kept seeing miracle after miracle in the hospital and finally at 6 1/2 weeks we were able to bring him home.
I knew I was lucky to have Madden. I knew that he fought to stay alive. I knew that I needed to fight for him and the challenges he was going to face. That’s why I started Chrome Classic. I named it Chrome Classic after “chromosome” and “classic” because I always wanted to carry timeless pieces.
I wanted to create a company that advocated for people with developmental disabilities. I wanted to one day be able to hire those with disabilities and to use models with developmental disabilities to Change the Face of Beauty. I wanted the world to see the beauty in them as I saw it.
So take a moment to look at our logo, you will notice the two intertwined letter C’s form to make an X chromosome.
