Did you know Candace Cameron Bure who we all grew up watching on Full House and Fuller House has 8 books? Yes! Author isn’t a recent title to add to her list. Today we were so excited we got a few minutes to chat on the phone and catch-up since she was on our cover. We chatted about her latest children’s book, Candace’s Playful Puppy, old episodes of Full House, her gorgeous skin and more!

Candace’s Playful Puppy like any Full House or Fuller House episode Candace says, “it has a little lesson to be learned”. The illustrations are absolutely adorable and the talking point was a key lesson of faithfulness – which we just loved. It’s heart-warming and oh-so-cute. As an animal lover herself, her book teaches you to be responsible when taking care of a pet and reminds you to be faithful.
You might not know that Candace has modeled her children’s books after biblical principals that are the fruit of the spirit. She mentioned Galatians 5:22 — the fruits are love, joy, peace, patiences, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. While you don’t need to be a person of faith to enjoy this book, if you are an animal lover, you will fall in love with the turn of every page.
Candace shared with us this has been an on-going dream of hers. Writing children’s book is truly her passion. It’s very exciting she added another title to the bookshelf as a children’s author.
But that isn’t all – Candace is currently working on filming the 16th & 17th Aurora Teagarden movie in Vancouver for Hallmark and she does plan for another book. How exciting? Skincare? You wanted to know, we asked! Candace has been using Dr. Lancer’s skincare products for the past 12 years. Candace says she has “huge results” and actually knocked on their door to become a brand ambassador since she 100% believes in the product. Dr. Lancer is her secret!
Favorite OG Full House Episode? “I don’t have a favorite!” With shooting over 200 episodes, she had a few memorable ones that stood out. Anything that had a DJ story was obviously important to her – “the food, the body episodes.” Who doesn’t remember when DJ fainted at the gym? “Where Kimmie and I go to a frat party and we have a conversation about drunk driving” and “13 candles where DJ has her first kiss are some of the stand out episodes for me.”
What might you not know about Candace?
She has 8 ear piercings! She did have 9 but she had to take one out.
She has 1 undisclosed tattoo – which is a surprise to many!
Her biggest pet peeve? Whistling. The sound of whistling is like nails on a chalkboard.
