Who Is Baby Truth?
Baby Truth is the creation of Sonja and Kamii Nettles, a mama-daughter team from Warner Robins, GA. Kamii grew up watching Sonja create fashion as a seamstress in a Levis factory and became inspired to follow in her mother’s footsteps. She graduated from the prestigious Savannah College of Art and Design with a degree in advertising design and hasn’t looked back. Kamii is the founder and creative director of Truth Collection, a women’s clothing line featured in national fashion magazines and worn by stars such as Vanessa Hudgens. Encouraged by friends to launch a children’s line, Kamii and Sonja started Baby Truth together to bring the latest fashion to the next generation.
The ladies of Baby Truth undertake all aspects of the design process themselves, from concept to finished product. Their designs are created in Adobe Illustrator and cut from vinyl in fun textures such as foil, flock, and glitter before being heat pressed to garments such as tees, onesies, dresses, and more. Side by side, Kamii and Sonja love watching Baby Truth take the kids’ fashion world by storm, one Whip and one Nae Nae at a time.
