Hi! I’m Amber, soap maker extraordinaire of Lynnburg Lane Soap Company, and stay at home mom of two boys. Art enthusiast, lover of cooking, dancing, reading, and hot tea, I’m a thinker, adventurer, and a creative soul who was destined to have her own business. Soap making is both an art and a science…combining all my loves into one neat little package! The wheels in my head never stop turning, and I’m currently on an adventure to create and deliver the most natural yet affordable soap and skincare goodies to modern families with needs just like my own!
I have a family full of blonde hair and blue eyes…with lots of sensitive skin! My journey of soap making began after the birth of my first child in 2009. Tired of trying every natural skincare product in the store and spending an insane amount of money on organic purchases, I decided to take matters into my own hands and spent the better part of a year mastering soap making techniques and creating safe and natural skincare products for my family. When local salons and family and friends began asking where to buy my products, my cheerleader of a mother (aren’t moms great?!) pushed me into starting my own business in 2013…and so here I am, loving the journey this small business has brought me!
With Lynnburg Lane Soap Company, I proudly create handcrafted cold process soap bars and 100% natural skincare products that are beneficial to our body and the environment. Every product that is purchased from my shop is handmade in small batches. I make all of our natural bath products by hand in the comfort of my home in the small lake town of Neenah, Wisconsin. Every item is composed of sustainably harvested ingredients, purchasing from local Wisconsin farmers and supporting small businesses whenever I can.
By using ingredients directly from Mother Nature such as pure Olive Oil and Organic Coconut Oil, and even colorful local vegetables and herbs, our products are composed of simple, skin nurturing ingredients that even individuals with sensitive skin can enjoy! With products ranging from sweet and innocent unscented bubbles for Mama & Baby, down to our scrubbing pumice bars and exotic beer soap blends for Dad, there is truly something fun for everyone to enjoy in the shop!
I believe modern families and individuals have the right to feel good about what they are putting on their skin, and at a reasonable price. I am a mother on a mission to create and deliver a handcrafted product that is composed of simple, beautiful and everyday ingredients that people recognize – and at a cost that leaves people feeling good about their purchase. Every ingredient is chosen with purpose, carefully selected and researched to be 100% sure the end result will enhance your natural beauty and be safe for those with sensitive skin – like my babies and me! I keep my shop and products simple and natural, just the way Mother Nature intended it to be. I couldn’t be happier about the products that I have made, and the journey that a simple bar of soap for my baby has brought to my little family and me.
