When Heather and Kelley met at a game night group of friends in 2009, they had no idea that they would eventually become not only great friends, but business partners, too.
When her babies were three years old and 6 months old, Heather decided to buy a monogram machine and give a small business a go. So she did-and the Tajima commercial machine lived in her dining room. Fast-forward five years, and another machine, and a move to the basement and an updated studio. Kelley was three kids in and had recently decided to stop teaching when she offered to help Heather make calls, wrap gifts. As a result of her quality sewing, creativity, and welcoming environment, Heather’s business was growing, and fast.
Fast forward another year to 2011, and these two friends-turned-business partners have hatched a plan and create a new online business named Peekawhoo.com, a boutique website dedicated to providing the best in personalized gifts for babies and mamas, too.

Named and branded in part in homage to their sorority, Chi Omega’s mascot, the owl, Peekawhoo.com recently launched a new and updated website, and has moved out of the basement and into a fun purple-and-white striped studio. Though they continually stock fun new products and love to try new things, their repeated tried-and-true best-sellers are by far their monogrammed Jellycat bunnies, 3 Marthas bibs and burps, and aden & anais Dream Blankets.
