I am always on the look out for new brands and apparel for my little dude, and one of my favorite places to find new brands is Instagram! I found Mischief Makers Apparel just that way. I reached out to Annie and she happily answered a few questions about her brand new kid’s brand; and today, I’m happy to share Mischief Makers Apparel with you!
Where is Mischief Makers apparel based out of? // I’m a one women, home-based business from Canada. I’m originally from Windsor, Ontario, but almost a year ago moved to a little ol’ town in Saskatchewan.
Since Mischief Makers Apparel is a kid’s brand, I’m guessing you have kids of your own. Tell us a little bit about them! // I have a daughter named Avairy. She’s 1 and a half years old and the biggest little mischief maker I know!
What made you decide to start Mischief Makers Apparel? // I have always had the entrepreneur heart and knew that one day I was going to run my own business. I just never knew exactly what that was. At one point I had my own cake decorating business, but was too young to really know how to run it. Then, I had my daughter and never realized how much fun kids clothes can be! She had more newborn baby clothes than I’ve had in my entire life. So from there the idea of Mischief Makers Apparel was born.
Where did you get the inspiration for your line? // I had a million inspirations before I settled down to the line we have now. But mostly it’s based off of my own style. I never was too much of a girly-girl and even dressing my daughter, Avairy, I wasn’t drawn to the typical girl colors of pinks and purples. I’ve always loved patterns too so I was able to express that through our line of pants. And of course the many amazing shops I’ve found through Instagram are always my source of inspiration.
Which piece if your favorite from this line? // My favourite piece hands down has to be our Star Confetti Harems! It’s a great basic with little touches of awesome!
Aren’t these items great? I love that all of the pieces could work for boys or girls, and as a girl who was a “tomboy” as a child, I love that these items are funky and fun, but not frilly and girly. “Tomboys” deserve choices too! ;) A big thank you to Annie of Mischief Makers Apparel! Be sure to check out their website and follow them on Instagram to keep up to date with the brand.
