I’m Kiah, the boss lady behind Kiwi and Hope. My name is pronounced like the car, but spelled with an h on the end. I live in the rainy but wonderful Pacific Northwest right near the Washington/ Canadian border with my husband Mike (no animals or tiny humans).
I’ve always been creative and my love for creating and wanting to help others gave me the inspiration for Kiwi and Hope. I’m adopted and have 5 adopted sisters. For a long time I’d been searching for a way that I could help support orphan prevention, orphan care, and adoption. My husband got me a sewing machine for my birthday two years ago and after a lot of practice and a ton of encouragement from friends and family, I opened Kiwi and Hope. Each time period I choose an orphan prevention, orphan care, or adoption related ministry and donate 10%.
The goal of my products is to help the modern gal stay organized and classy. I make your life simpler with a variety of zippered pouches to organize your diaper bag, purse or your growing essential oil collection! You get organized and support a cause close to my heart – it is a win-win!
I started adding my signature hand cut felt heart to my items to represent the love I put into each of my items and as a way to remind my people of two things:
• That they are amazing
• That they are helping to support some amazing causes.
I’m coming on the first anniversary of Kiwi and Hope and I have to say I’ve learned so much about owning a business. I’ve been blessed to gain a ton of really encouraging customers turned friends. My people make the hard days of being a business owner worth it. One big change that’s coming in 2016 is that I’ve decided to start giving back to a wider array of ministries and organizations. I don’t want to limit what I can do. I can’t wait to impact more people and give my customers a way to touch the world in bigger ways.
