My name is Chelsea and I am the founder of HorseFeathers Gifts. I currently live in Kentucky but grew up traveling the world as a Navy brat. I have been married for 7 years and we just welcomed a baby boy, Sterling James Farmer. We have 5 rescue animals, 3 dogs and 2 cats.
I’m inspired by color, happy living, good vibes, and rescued animals.
After studying Construction Engineering and working in the inspection department at a tank and tower company, I realized I wanted to do something creative, while giving back. A graduate of the Gemological Institute of America, I quit my day job and turned my passion and hobby into my life’s work. I started HorseFeathers Gifts in 2009 and haven’t looked back.
Every collection, in every season, is full of color. We design pieces that let you tell your story on your arm, while reflecting the joy and peace you carry within. We design all our pieces to be stacked and coordinated so you can create a look that is distinctively you, while always echoing the HorseFeathers vibe.
Our items are handmade in our 3 story building which also houses our retail shop. We use recycled materials, including metal components, whenever we can, limiting our waste and impact.
We partner with animal rescue organizations, because we love animals. Our own rescue cats and dogs hang out with us in the studio and shop. We love knowing we help animals find forever homes.
