I don’t know about you, but I’m a huge fan of Popcorn in any form- but especially if I can put a sweet twist on it! Today I am sharing a fun Popcorn recipe that you can make at home with the littles and it tastes delicious too! This would be a great recipe to repeat for Valentine’s Day!
Start your recipe by adding one stick of butter and a bag and a half of marshmallows to a pot over medium heat. Continue to warm until thoroughly melted, stirring frequently.
Add one teaspoon of vanilla extract and mix thoroughly. Once your mixture looks like the photo above, you’re ready to add it to your popcorn!
Pour over a bag of popped corn of your choosing, then mix using a cake spatula.
When it’s completely mixed- you can add your fun toppings! I used sprinkle but M&M’s would be pretty as well!
Guys… how pretty!? Now you’re ready to add to your molds. If you have a cookie cutter shape that you would like to use, that would be perfect. I didn’t so I made my own molds using aluminum foil.
Now you can add your popcorn to the mold! I used parchment paper to shape and flatten the mixture into the mold. Hindsight tip: Spray the foil and your platter with a cooking spray to avoid sticking!
All done! Now you’re ready for toppings! You can either leave them like this or I decided to add a light drizzle of pink chocolate to the top for some more color and to give them some Valentine’s Day flair!
Allow to set for at least an hour in the refrigerator and then remove the mold. ENJOY!
