Hi, I’m Angela, a stay at home mom to a 5 year old son named Andon, 3 year old daughter named Elodie + 1 more little girl who’s due any day (most likely born by the time you’re reading this!). I started Goldy Fox the end of 2015 with my best friend Bethany. Just recently she had to step away because of her crazy work schedule. We miss her and I still ask her opinion all the time.
I live in the beautiful PNW — Oregon to be exact — where we have the ocean/beaches (not warm ones), mountains + deserts. I wanted to represent that somehow so all of our bracelet designs are named after waterfalls in the PNW. And sometimes we get lucky with beautiful pictures of those waterfalls from my super supportive husband, Zak, who happens to be a landscape photographer.
The idea for Goldy came about because I wanted a creative outlet. Because, lets face it, when you stay at home with your babes sometimes it ends up where that’s almost all you do + we all need to take some time to do something just for ourselves. And those 2 kiddos love sticking their fingers in my beads. Whenever I’m making bracelets, from Elodie I hear (multiple times) “I wike dees beads! Dis for me?” and Andon has been asking me for a camo bracelet for months (I haven’t quite figured that one out yet). But it’s so good for our babes to see us doing something we enjoy outside of taking care of them.
My goal is to create simple, quality + affordable accessories for babes of all ages. I wanted them to be something that you haven’t seen from other shops + am always striving to keep our designs different from other shops. Plus I have a girl + who doesn’t love matching or at least coordinating with their girlies? I wanted our bracelets to be simple enough that you could wear them for a little extra oomph to your every day outfit or styled a little fancier for special occasions.
All of our bracelets have gold or silver accents which are interchangeable. We use shell, glass + gemstone beads in a few different sizes to make your stacks look + feel more interesting. Any bead colors of the same size can be switched out which makes for so many combinations. I love seeing what you come up with!
