Glitter and Spice

Hello! I’m Lorene from Glitter and Spice. Most of my friends would probably describe me as one of the most random people they know. I often get ideas in my head and just take off with it. Glitter and Spice was inspired by our son Noah who was THE definition of a teething baby. We looked high and low in our local stores for the perfect teething accessory but came back disappointed and empty handed. So like any parent on a mission, I decided to order some supplies the very next day and create our own line of safe and stylish teething accessories.

Despite graduating with a molecular biology and biochemistry degree, I always knew that I would one day create a company of my own. I have always had a passion and desire to start my own business but like most, the fear of the unknown scared me. I think the timing was just right to give me the courage to take the plunge. I was just finishing my maternity leave, and had the perfect solution to a problem many moms like myself faced. I knew we had a product that had so much potential.

In less than 6 months, we were featured in high fashion magazines such as Vogue, Glamour, and Harper’s Bazaar. Our local news channels heard about our success and interviewed us on TV. We were also invited to meet, greet and hand out our products to celebrities at both the Emmy and Oscar Awards Gifting Suites! We are also proud to say we were recently named one of the Top Small Businesses in our city!

Glitter and Spice teething jewelry is truly the perfect teether, and toy all wrapped up in one trendy & chic accessory! What our customers love most is wide range of styles and colors, and the option to customize their very own design. Our necklaces come in a variety of sizes to accommodate everyone in the family. Our goal when creating this company was to offer a diverse and unique collection of products that every mom, dad, caregiver, and child will fall in love with.

What’s our best seller? Hands down our Original Cookie Teether which was inspired by my cravings for Oreos (mint Oreos to be specific) throughout my pregnancy with Noah. Out of fear that the grocery stores would sell out, I made sure we had 4-6 boxes at any given time. Haha. If you have your eye on one, make sure to grab one while you can! We often sell out before we can even get the next order placed.
