The Met Gala, aka the Oscars of fashion, was last night. You know the drill. Along with the gowns come opinions. The theme of last night’s gala was punk fashion since the Met’s new exhibit is an homage to it (they even recreated the bathroom at CBGB…a definite first for the Met!).

After watching the red carpet via live streaming and perusing through Style.com, here are my top pics from the night. And since most people ignored the punk theme, I sadly did too in this case. What I focused on was the styling. Who rocked the right dress on her body, with the right hair, makeup and accessories. The best thing you can see is a woman absolutely owning what she wears and having it reflect her personal aesthetic. And I think you see that here with these beautiful women:

Lately I’ve been really into pampering {like more than normal}. And masks are key to the whole pamper yourself project. I’ve done a round up of masks that I have began using on the reg, covering you from head to toe literally! AND if you are into pampering your mother, these are great ideas for Mothers Day too!

Starting off at the top! For your hair we have the Moroccan Oil Restorative Hair Mask. When your hair is feeling dry or dull, this mask adds shine & silkiness {you can see results in just one use, promise}. Simply leave it on for 5-7 minutes in the shower after you shampoo and you’re good to go! Seriously LOVE this stuff.

Next for the face, Lumene Matt Touch Deep-Cleansing Peat Mask. Love this mask for when my skin is breaking out-it works to tighten skin & fight impurities. By far my favorite face mask I’ve EVER tried, I’ve been a religious user for months now.

And for the body! We have the Borghese Fango Brillante Brightening Mud Mask…I lucked out and found it at Marshalls for $30-regularly it is around $55 (still worth it). It claims to be “Italian Mud” which works to even out skin tone & erase effects of ‘environmental debris’ (living in the city, this can be a huge plus for you-the only time my skin was EVER perfect was when I lived ocean side which I def don’t anymore).

And lastly, the feet! Since you are on them all day these babies need some special treatment every now and then. I am a total OPI girl so their mani/pedi sets are usually my choice, most recently however I discovered their Hydrating Foot Mask containing Cooling Menthol which hellooooo glorious!

So I have to quickly spread the good news… the cutest selection of Jack Rogers sandals, flats and wedges is on Neiman Marcus’ Last Call. Go go go! If you’re not already a fan of these shoes, you will be once you buy a pair!

The Navajo Sandal is my personal favorite. I kid you not, I wear them at least 6 out of 7 days a week. I’ve had them in gold, silver, platinum, black, white, embossed brown and textured peach…even an orange and blue pair (Go Gators!). Needless to say, I wear these babies out until the strap is hanging on by a thread, but it still takes quite some time for that to happen!

Originally based out of Palm Beach and made popular by the iconic Jackie Onassis Kennedy, these shoes are a must-have for the Spring and Summer seasons. If you live in Florida you can rock them all year long, though! The quality can’t be beat and the design is timeless. Start with a neutral pair or spice things up with a fun print or bold color! With Jacks, the possibilities are exciting and always in style!

Coachella is here! And if you made the trip or reside in CA, I’m JEALOUS! Even though I’m staying on the East Coast this week, my soul is there.

We put together 3 FAB looks that have coachella day and night written all over them!

Started off with a poolside look, a must have that is effortlessly chic.

You can find the lovely colorblocked straw hat at Forever 21! The suit is a bit of a splurge, but helloooo it is Ralph Lauren. The lovely Varick top, which I would wear as a cover up was found on the lovely StyleMint and lastly the perfect nude platform wedge sandal from Lulu’s!

Next is a night out…If this dress doesn’t scream Music Festival than I don’t know what does.

We are OBSESSED with this dress, I mean come on how can you not love it?! And from the wonderful Lulu’s! Paired with a FAB pair of Chinese Laundry platforms (also from Lulu’s). The glasses were found at 80spurple.com {and only $12!}, & lets not forget the simple black square ring from Dorothy Perkins.

Lastly is an outfit for the Festival. This paired with your favorite backpack & you’re set.

The floral bustier is TopShop! The lovely jorts, Hanmattan an Etsy designer. Did you see the wedged bootie!? DSW! We kinda splurged on the necklace but lets be serious its L.A.M.B so did we really have a choice? The Lizard Skinny Belt is from the amazing Alice and Olivia & then there is the glasses because everyone needs a good pair of Ray Bans!

Award show season has come and gone, but our dress envy is still hanging around like last season’s oxblood peplum tops (turns out you can have enough). Just in time to appease our desire to dress à la Jennifer Lawrence on the red carpet, Target ups the ante with its latest collaboration. This time around the stylist to the stars, Kate Young, has designed her own women’s collection for Target. Young’s client list is impressive, she’s styled the likes of Natalie Portman and Michelle Williams.

Her limited-edition collection is inspired by special occasions with an on-trend focus. It launches April 14 in stores and online at Target.com. The stylist designed dresses for day and night, as well as separates and accessories. Prices will range from $14.99 to $89.99.

“I’ve been working with Target for a number of years as a stylist, so having the chance to design my own collection with a brand I already know and love is like a dream come true,” said Young. “With this collection, I wanted to design standout pieces that allow women to experiment with fashion and create their own red carpet moments.”

Her previous fashionista credentials include working at Vogue assisting Anna Wintour, styling for Teen Vogue, consulting for major labels and styling runway shows for Jason Wu, Derek Lam, Nina Ricci and the like. She has lent her styling talents to Target before, on various campaigns. Her relationship with Target and Jason Wu actually merged when she styled the Jason Wu for Target campaign proving it’s a small world after all.

We’re crossing our fingers that this collab proves more successful that the Neiman Marcus/CFDA flop, even though Young’s name isn’t quite as popular as previous Target designers. Perhaps her line will be the knockout that Prabal’s was… What do you think?

I don’t know where you reside, but the East Coast had a TERRIBLE winter this year. Barely any snow-just plain freezing temperatures and wind, it blew! {No pun intended}. So the day we saw the thermometer hit 55 we ran outside…in shorts and booties.

Jean Shorts are my weakness, yes Jorts. They can so easily be dressed up or down-add a pair of heels & a cute blouse and you’re good to go. In this case I threw on a lovely lace top & some fringe booties and voilà the chic hippie look is mastered.

Here I’m wearing the gilded lace top with 3/4 length sleeve from Talbots {+plus they are having their spring sale so you should head over ASAP}, Mudd Denim studded shorts {YES, Mudd from Kohls}, Forever 21 Beige Suede Booties, the wonderful Etsy Desinger LinzGutz Rose Quartz Gold Bracelet, another wonderful Etsy Designer JamesonMonroe Lace Headband, Peach Bubble Necklace from Groopdealz {we are huge fans of them} and Dulce Candy’s Black Studded Crossbody Bag {absolute favorite cross body I own}.

Your life is about to change. But don’t thank me. Thank Glenn & Shannon Dellimore over at GlamGlow. Mud masks have always been a fun, special treat since the preteen sleepover days. Now, I take things a little more seriously. I recently decided to do a beauty overhaul of sorts. I’m trying new face washes, scrubs, creams, masks and even B.B. creams. (There will be more product reviews to come…)

I noticed my best friend’s After hearing my best friend absolutely RAVE about this mask, I knew I had to try it. I ran over to Sephora and they were sold out! An enthusiastic sales associate told me they sold out in all the store…so buy online! It’s a splurge at $70 a pop, but shipping is free and it’s worth it once you see the results. I have never seen my face clear up and actually GLOW like it has after using GlamGlow!

Not convinced?
