Discover Sylwia & Tonique Fitness!

If you are anything like me – normal workouts are plain boring. I won’t workout (besides jog) unless I’m forced to (luckily with a personal trainer, that’s much easier now). However on days that I don’t work out with my absolutely darling & dear personal trainer, Bryan – I now have Sylwia too!

She doesn’t make you feel like you’re watching a robot work out. Sylwia makes it seems like she is right beside you. What also helps? Sywlia reminds you of simple things you actually need to be reminded of. And basically, puts a great twist on a work out! Just by doing Sylwia’s work outs from my apartment – her attitude is contagious!

Now as you know I’m not a mommy, just an auntie for 12 years now…and nanny for 2. However I SO agree with these tips Sylwia shares with us! The pool, the beach, the park, she sheds light on every situation! {like come on how can you not love a gal inspired by Fight Club!?!?}

Being a Fit Mommy:

Being a mom doesn’t have to mean forgetting about ME TIME , it is about embracing new chapter on your life and being a healthy and fit example to your kids and other moms who often neglect themselves and think secondary about their health happiness and sexiness.  Being fit, super fit, feeling great and looking fabulous makes you not only better mom who is happy with herself but also a confident mom – woman who still needs to turn heads. At the end we are women and we love to be admired adored and loved!

1. First steps: After giving birth you are overwhelmed but think positive and do baby steps until you build up back your strength and endurance. Just like your child has  goals, you can set yours as well. 3 months after pregnancy you want to start working out regularly. Approximately 6 to 8 months later you want to regain full endurance and strength  and lose all the gained/extra weight. 12 months you want to regain full firmness and be even extra firm. It takes almost a year to be pregnant and it takes the same amount of time to get back your pre-pregnancy body.Make sure to aim higher and get even better body! Surprise everyone and yourself.

2. Run and Squat: Invest in good running stroller so there will be no excuses to skip a workout. I developed my first Tonique DVD on my miles of run with my son who did miles with me!

– Tip 1: get to know your child’s nap schedule… forget cleaning, think movement instead

– Tip 2: put your workout clothes on when you get up so you are ready to go and workout

The child loves the motion and your heart and health will love it too! On the end of your run don’t forget to tone: squats, lunges and stomach tightening moves.

3. DVD : if you can’t go to the gym invest in great motivational and effective workout. It is a must to move if you are not a runner- walk then do DVD workout. Spend 45 minutes per day is a must and try to build up to 60 and eventually 90 minutes.

4. Beach or pool is your playground too: Run with your child along the beach, take walks, jump through waves , boogie board together. Kicks firm your butt.  Swim and paddle board for a full body workout. {love this tip, kids love being outside – make the best of it!}

5. Playground is your gym: Use the kid’s playground as your gym! Monkey bars help you firm as well as get flat abs. The swing is perfect for your legs and abs.

6. I’m Dead Tired! Think Fresh!: Don’t think negative and crash right to bed. Often when we are tired, we tend to eat more as well. Instead go for walk, run or jog, bike ride or quick workout: it helps you to clear your mind and zone out, for a much sounder sleep.

7. Fit Club: inspired by fight club I established fit club for moms teaching them Tonique method and inspiring them to move more! Find moms who want to workout few times a week and create a schedule that you each hold each other accountable for.  You can focus on your body and mind with support of other women!

Hope you can find motivation like we did, with the help of Sylwia’s infectious passion, charm & genuine devotion! She is wonderful!
