Behind the scenes of Strands, an online jewelry shop, are two stay-at-home moms, Megan and Ellery. They are best friends, their husbands are best friends, and they all just so happened to end up in Southern California after college graduation.
Megan and Ellery are continually mistaken for sisters, and they might as well be. With just enough in common to supply a limitless list of conversation topics, and enough differences to offer advice in their given area of expertise, they really make a fantastic pair to run a business.
As two stay-at-home moms, they created a vision together of an online jewelry shop that was entirely created and run by them. Their goal? To offer on- trend jewelry at a portion of the price of big-name retailers. And more importantly, their motive: to enable girls and women to feel as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside.
They buy their products from a wide variety of wholesalers so that they can not only bring these products to their customers at an affordable price, but so they can create a shop that has a unique, one of a kind, curated appeal. They carefully select each product and choose pieces that are both hip and current, and classic and timeless.
Because of this, the selection they offer appeals to a wide variety of preferred aesthetics. They ensure that each item they send out has been studied by their eyes and touched by their hands to provide quality in appearance and construction they can vouch for.
Megan and Ellery have been pleasantly surprised by the exciting challenge of creating their own business.
