Which is why we are thrilled to introduce you to one of our favorite shops today, Simply Curated. Sarah is here to share a little about the inspiration behind her unique candles and sweet deal, exclusively for you!
I started Simply Curated as a side project selling vintage home goods online. But when a friend suggested I start making candles I put my own spin on the idea and a real business was born. I started making candles exclusively in vintage barware. I wanted to find a way to appreciate the beautiful glassware patterns everyday and give people something that they would not only enjoy, but also be able to reuse when the candle had burned out. The original vintage glass candles were a hit and we started making “simple candles” (candles in new plain glassware, and travel candles).
We started with 4 original scents (Guava Fig, Sage & Cedar, Vanilla Lavender, and Grapefruit & Bergamot) and we just released two new scents (Cucumber Sweetgrass and Oakmoss & Leather). We re-launched our online store in November 2013 and we started carrying other goods from makers across the country. I love being able to curate everything in the store, I want our customers to feel like they are really getting something special.
