about sahndamarie Kids
Sahnda Marie Kids was established in 2012 selling children’s hair accessories, pouches and jewelry. It
wasn’t until I was expecting my third child in 2013 that I began making baby shoes. It had been eight
years since my last baby so a lot of things had changed since then. Now there’s Etsy and such a wider
variety of baby goods. I began looking for cute, well made baby items. Of course I came across baby
moccasins while looking for shoes. And although I thought they were cute, they just didn’t appear to
have the comfort I wanted to put on my soft baby’s feet. With 25 years of sewing experience, I decided
to try making baby shoes myself. The first pairs were fairly decent, but over time they have reached
the quality standards I feel confident with. After participating in the Penelope Lane Boutique the fall of 2013, I realized I had stumbled upon a product that many other people would want. I had previously
made and sold handbags, but I knew I finally found my niche with baby shoes.
All our shoes are completely lined with soft organic bamboo velour and an organic sherpa footbed.
They have no leather making them completely vegan friendly and machine washable. The faux leather
soles and the outdoor rubberized soles are both non slip and very durable. They are available in all baby and kids sizes. We’ll also be releasing women’s lounge shoes August 6th to match their little ones or just as a special treat for themselves. They will be perfect for those family photos, holidays or just lounging around the house. All shoes now come packaged in drawstring fabric bags. For the baby shoes we have created a Keepsake Bag® that not only serves the purpose of storing your baby’s shoes, but you can also record special dates, moments and milestones that coincide with the pair of shoes you store in it. Now mom’s can quickly record baby memories to cherish along with the shoes that their little baby’s feet once fit into.
What makes Sahnda Marie Kids stand out from other shoe brands is our modern selection of fabrics, high quality organic materials, and the overall quality of our shoes that being a seamstress of 25 years and having an educated knowledge of materials brings. We are growing very quickly thanks to Instagram, and our loyal customers. We are constantly coming up with new ideas and designs. Our most popular design is the Knot Bow shoe which features a knot bow on the toe. Bows are adorable but not if they can be pulled off. With our design they can never be pulled off. I like to say we’re “Building a brand with baby steps”. We’re growing at a steady sturdy pace and taking the right steps to ensure that we’ll be around for the long term with much bigger and better things yet to come.
