Hi, I’m Lyndsey, mom of two and inventor of the Latchy Catchy! The Latchy Catchy evolved when we got so tired of hearing our bedroom door slam, waking baby Karson, that I attached a sock (covering the latch) with a rubber band on each knob. It was quite the eye sore, and we decided there had to be a better way. Turns out, there was, and it is now called a Latchy Catchy!
Every mother knows what it is like to twist and turn that little knob as slowly and gently as possible, only to hear at the very last second the dreaded, “click!”. Even the slightest sound of a bedroom knob can send your little ones head shooting up to see who is there. With the Latchy Catchy, this problem is solved!
