Daily deal sites are a dime a dozen these days! That is why when we came across Kate + Linny, we knew we had found something special and we were so excited to team up with them. They aren’t your ordinary flash deal site – it is run by two moms who are just like you and me! We can’t wait for you to meet them today!

So, what makes Kate + Linny different from other daily deal sites?
Kate and Linny is an online boutique offering flash deals on the freshest items for moms, kids, babies and home. The site just launched the beginning of January 2014. Katherine and Lindsay, the two fabulous mamas behind Kate and Linny, do a great job curating the site, which offers a variety of unique products at a deeply discounted prices. Many of the products come from “Mompreneurs” like Katherine and Lindsay. Additionally, the site also highlights and features a rotating Mompreneur of the Week.

The current “Mompreneur of the Week” is Jamie Jones, Founder of Mrs. Jones’ Soapbox, a line of non-toxic, eco-friendly, cleaning products. Oprah calls Mrs. Jones’ Soapbox’s Laundry Soap and Fabric Softener one of her “9 Products That Will Make You Want To Clean”. Jamie, a mom of one with another on the way, dabbled for years making her own cleaning products until finally launching her business in 2008. Not only does Mrs. Jones’ Soapbox offer cleaning solutions that really work and are completely safe to use, but they also look and smell great!

What made you want to start this adventure?
When Katherine and Lindsay first met, they were each working on their own entrepreneurial ventures and found themselves supporting each other both as business women and also as working moms. It was synchronicity that they both were ready for a new business and their strengths and weaknesses completely matched up. They call Katherine the “Business Guru” and Lindsay the “Creative Guru”.

Lindsay sold her hair ties on various daily deals sites and decided that she wanted to oversee a website like the ones she was selling on herself. Katherine suggested creating a site that focuses on Mompreneurs and the site took off from there!

Where do you find your Mompreneurs and vendors?
Katherine and Lindsay spend LOTS of time scouring the world for wonderful vendors. Word of the duo has spread quickly, and the website is now deluged with vendors applying to sell on the kateandlinny.com.

ABC’s Shark Tank has been a great resource for Kate and Linny who have featured several of the show’s alums including Shelly Ehler (ShowNo) and Nicole Townsend (Teddy Needs A Bath). Theresa Fraijo (Veggie Mama) and Kiersten Hathcock (Mod Mom Furniture) are a few upcoming Mompreneurs of the Week who also appeared on Shark Tank.

Okay – tell us something fun that we don’t already know!
Lindsay and her family are moving to Australia for one year in June 2016 for a family adventure. Katherine became a firefighter and an EMT when was she was just 16 years old, though doesn’t really use those skills anymore… unless of course you find her in the kitchen. :)
