Hi, I’m Megan and am the owner of In A Dream Boutique. Growing up, I was always into crafting, painting and making just about anything I could imagine. Being a child in the early 90s, the best gift I could receive was the 96 jumbo pack of Crayola crayons. As I hit that lovely time in everyone’s life life called high school, I started to become fascinated with fashion, makeup and all things girly. Once college hit, I went a completely different direction, put my art on hold, and started taking American Sign Language (ASL), which surprisingly lead me to my current interpreting career.

I learned that ASL and interpreting were yet another form of my artistic and creative expression and got back into crafting just for fun on the side. I started making bracelets for myself and picked up sewing again. I designed my own makeup bags and started expanding to other accessories that I could give to friends and family as birthday and Christmas gifts. With a lot of encouragement, I decided to open up my own shop on Etsy in 2012. This has allowed me to share my creations with not only people in other states, but half way around the world to Austrailia, Japan, London and more.

Being a California native, I have always found inspiration in animals, nature, and fashion. They each have allowed me to explore new avenues in my painting as well as expand my love of making accessories. Getting married this month inspired me to craft in different ways this past year for my own wedding. My shop has evolved greatly based off of current wedding trends and bridesmaid gifts; and I love the direction it has been headed. I am truly excited to continue adding new and better items and to improve my own skills as an artist and creator.
