Hello! I’m Allisa, the owner of my eponymous line of bags and accessories handmade in my studio just outside of Portland, Oregon. I find joy in creating something from scratch, making a bag that is not only useful but pretty and personalized. It’s my goal to spread happiness with well made bags in bright colors & bold patterns.
I’m a high school special education teacher by trade, but after searching for just the right bag to take with me to a friend’s wedding, I finally decided to sew my own clutch. From there, I began creating my own cosmetic bags, totes, and accessories. Soon, friends & colleagues began requesting their own! I took a design courses from an incredible handbag designer in Boston, strengthened my skills and just couldn’t stop making!
All of this came together in 2008 when I decided to stay home with my new baby and build a business. Starting with just a bit of cash and a lot of hard work, I built my online shop into a successful venture. I am incredibly thankful for the opportunities this has given me and look for ways to share my success with other handmade business owners.
