Graphic tees for days! We are loving typebaby and their collection of bright and colorful graphic tees for your littles!

about typebaby

typebaby is a line of typographic baby and kids apparel that lets kids share their unique personality “type.” Our infant bodysuits and kids tees are designed and screen printed in Chicago on American Apparel tees—they are comfy, durable and entirely made in the USA. We also design and print custom kids tees. You can buy typebaby in our online shop or in select Chicago and Midwest children’s boutiques. We outfit kids in good design.

the story behind typebaby

I dreamed up typebaby while on maternity leave from my graphic design business. Since I couldn’t find baby clothes that fit my design aesthetic, I decided to create my own. My infant son was the non-sleeping type, so I sketched ideas in my rocking chair during the wee hours and typebaby was born.

My passion for typography—and my son’s developing personality type—inspired the name and concept for typebaby. I launched in 2013 with a collection of infant bodysuits, and have since added kids tees and personalized wall art. Our top sellers are our Birthday Tees, Chicago-inspired Local Love tees, and Transportation Tees.

inspired by

Kids—especially my own toddler—are my main inspiration. Watching them play, create, and grow gives me endless design inspiration. I also have a passion for typography: I started a blog called Typography in the City where I share typography I discover in my neighborhood. Most of all, I love being able to “work” with my son!
