Jenny Packham’s sweet, dark lipped, 40s inspired collection will certainly have some popularity amongst the red carpets in hollywood…. In my opinion, Jenny Packham seems to have an amazing knack for staying true to her style while keeping things new every season. Here are some of my favorite showstopping pieces.
Carolina Herrera went a much darker route than is normal for her. There was a lot of dark navy, gray and plum. She said she was inspired by reality.
Carlos Miele was absolutely one of my favorite shows of fashion week. His “cowgirl” inspired show was just what fashion week needed. I’m already going through a hat phase (aren’t you?) so the hats were FABULOUS in my opinion, and I died for the studded jackets, seen in both colors below. I just always love that Carlos Miele is always just so unique and fun.
The them of the Donna Karan New York show was SUITS. Pinstripes, plunging necklines, and fedoras specifically dominated this collection.
Reem Acra’s theme was “feminine power” and the one word that comes to my mind is “fierce!!” The red, slick runway, cat eye makeup and wowza silhouettes definitely accomplished a feminine power vibe if you ask me!
Betsy Johnson’s fall collection was typical for her: fun, crazy, loud… did I mention fun? Fashion should be FUN! I love the orange and pink together.
